artiste et auteur, frédéric dumond vit en Lozère Sud, et en résidences en France et à l’étranger. l’objet de son travail est la langue dans l’ensemble de ses dimensions et de ses expressions, les langages comme expérience de l’autre. il poursuit depuis 2011 le « projet glossolalie », projet multiforme de représentation de la nature du langage — qui traverse les champs du numérique, de l’installation, du dessin, de la performance, du livre, etc. — dont le noyau est une épopée poétique qui s’écrit dans l’ensemble des 7000 langues de la planète
à ce jour (été 2017), une soixantaine de langues ont été approchées (turc, burushaski, bambara, navajo, lapon, lingala, bulu, nahuatl, arménien, hongrois, agni indénié, manadonais, wolof, japonais, burushaski, carijona, mitchif, arawak, purepucha, tedim, bijogo de Bubaque, oudmourte, tchétchène, shor, indo-européen, tahitien, kwakum, gaulois, amharique… )
il a publié dernièrement « peut-être quelque chose », éd. Maelström (Bruxelles), un état en 41 langues du poème « glossolalie »
